Hello from the center of the US. I happened upon this site while looking for some common sense in the relations between Iran and the US. Thank you for taking the time to explain Iran's mix of culture and values.

Unfortunately, we also have fundamentalists who tend to retard our educational system and have too much influence in the media.

This opportunity should not pass without saying that you have many, if not most, Americans on your side; we don't want another war and would prefer to get out of Iraq. Our problem is getting this idea across to the knuckleheads in Washington.

Of course, another problem is the news media. What we get is all the chest beating, anti-American rhetoric from Iran, and very little of the common everyday stuff that shows that most Americans and Iranians are more than willing to get along with each other. That's where the importance of your blog comes in.
